In 1880, A group of artists and collectors came together to found the Providence Art Club, thus making it one of the oldest such clubs in America. This started a tremendous tradition in the arts here in Rhode Island, that flourished then and remains today as one of the most prestigious of its kind. Bellini Ruggeri Gallery has always been in the forefront of promoting and displaying the works of these numerous native-born Rhode Islanders and we pride ourselves on our ability to always have an outstanding collection of R.I. art available.
