| An artist who used the "Old-style English method of watercolor painting," Dyer specialized in landscapes and seascapes. With his art widely exhibited in New York, Dyer was one of the most popular Rhode Island painters for his ability to teleport the viewer of his paintings to far away places. His yearly journeys to Italy and France helped him accomplish this. Dyer also loved painting peasants and the towns in which they lived. He also painted murals for peoples' homes. |
